The Vera Corazón School will be a nationally accredited institution in Nicaragua that will adhere closely to the federal curriculum and policies of the Ministry of Education, as prescribed by law. Core subject areas will include Spanish, Mathematics, Social Science, Science, and English. Additionally, further instruction in IT/Computer Science, the Arts, Leadership & Life Skills Development, and Entrepreneurship, along with a wide array of extracurricular activities, will supplement formal learning requirements.

The school aspires to be make the transition from Spanish-medium instruction to English-medium instruction by Grade 3. Thus, Grades 1 & 2 will be predominantly Spanish-medium with English as a subject. From Grade 3 onward, the predominant language of instruction will then switch from Spanish to English, with Spanish as a subject.

By enabling students to transition to English-medium instruction within these early formative years, we believe students will gain proficiency in 2 languages and will be much better prepared for a possible career in IT and have the ability to participate in the modern global economy.

Once the school is fully operational, it will offer Grades 1-12, with an anticipated student to teacher ratio between 10-15 : 1.
